“the starting point is thoughtfully planned and skilfully executed, and then bravery must take over.”

Marnie Collins
EXPRESSIONIST FELT ARTIST
Expressing her inner-child’s sense of wonderment, playfulness and fearlessness, Marnie’s art pieces are intended to emit joy, delight and intrigue to the viewer.
Large or small, her art pieces are highly impactful, perfect for spaces which occupy centre stage and deserve a talking point.
Marnie has a passion and instinctive aptitude for felt painting, which she finds to be ‘an exciting mixture of premeditation and unpredictability’, much like her Scottish habitat.
Her ‘Painting with Wool’ process involves both wet and dry needle felting.
Featured Collection
EXUBERANCE COLLECTION
This soulful collection is a celebration of joyful energy, youthfulness and excitement. Inspired by the modernist and expressionist art movements, the Exuberance Collection embraces Chagall’s colour palette and Kandinsky‘s free-spirited sense of movement and composition.
Uninhibited, uplifting, bold and expressive, the composition themes in this collection reflect a playful innocence. Each piece has been wet and needle felted, using a variety of wool fibres, with a pre-felted Shetland wool base, then custom framed.
Surface textures range from slightly raised to highly sculpted. Marnie’s signature swirls are playfully executed. Colours are fresh, vibrant and boldly handled.
